Des Byrne has over 40 years’ experience in the Irish commercial property market and is a Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors. Des joined Bannon in 2006.

As a Director of Professional Services within Bannon he is recognised as one of the foremost Professional Services experts in Ireland, specialising in Commercial, Landlord and Tenant matters, rent reviews, arbitrations, valuations, rates appeals, lease renewals and compulsory purchase orders.   In addition to his role as a Chartered Surveyor, Des also acts in the capacity of Arbitrator.

In his many years of practice Des has vast experience in representing Client’s with a nationwide presence in respect of their commercial property portfolio and is mandated to deal with rent reviews, rates liabilities, re-gear negotiations etc.

Des is actively involved with the RICS Ireland, being the current chairman of same, whilst having previously served terms as a former president of the Society of Chartered Surveyors and former Chairman General Practice Division, Society of Chartered Surveyors.
