Ban on reviews….its lose lose lose
The ‘on again off again’ saga of upward only rent reviews came to an end this week. Dermot Ahern finally decided to sign a banning order on the contentious clause under Section 132 of the Land Conveyance Reform Act after suggestions the matter was being dropped. While on the face of it this populist decision looks like progress, it is not necessarily one that is going to be applauded by either side of the deep legal divide.
M&S new anchor for Pavilions, Swords
Chartered Land have confirmed that Marks & Spencer have signed legal documents and will become the anchor tenant for the proposed extension of the Swords Pavilions shopping centre in North Dublin.

Hutchison 3G signs lease for new HQ beside Gaeity Centre
CHARTERED LAND has announced that The Hong Kong based telecoms giant Hutchison 3G is to relocate its new headquarters to One Clarendon Row on Clarendon Street. Hutchison 3G will take 1,867 sq.m within One Clarendon Row, Dublin 2. Hutchison 3G are currently located on Suffolk Street and expect to be relocated in their new offices early in the New Year.
NAMA will have a hard job trying to value office property
One would think that the task facing of NAMA of valuing existing properties which are currently leased or vacant would prove a much simpler process than valuing development land.
