M&S new anchor for Pavilions, Swords
Chartered Land have confirmed that Marks & Spencer have signed legal documents and will become the anchor tenant for the proposed extension of the Swords Pavilions shopping centre in North Dublin.
Marks & Spencer will occupy approximately 150,000 square feet of retail space within Phase 3. The store, which is anticipated to open in Spring 2014, will be the largest store in the Republic of Ireland and is expected to create in excess of 450 jobs.
Chartered Land received planning permission in September 2009 to extend the successful Pavilions shopping centre, such extension to include over 650,000 sq.ft. of retail accommodation over two mall levels. The scheme will contain 2 new anchor stores. House of Fraser have agreed terms for the second anchor store of 125,000 sq.ft.
On completion of Phase 3 Pavilions will be the largest shopping centre in Ireland with over 1 million square feet of retail and some of Ireland’s top retailers including Dunnes, Zara, H&M, TK Maxx, Mego, Boots, Tommy Hilfiger and Champion Sports.
