Bannon have a long history with Adamstown District Centre which, upon its completion, will be the first new retail centre developed in the Irish market in over a decade. Initially instructed by Castlethorn in the late 2000’s and more recently Cairn Homes and Quintain Ireland, we have been consulting on the design of the retail component since its conception. Bannon are working within the design team, advising on viability, design criteria and day-to-day management in creating The Crossings @ Adamstown. The Consultancy team were additionally involved in the anchor unit leasing process.
As Retail Advisors in the Design team, Bannon worked alongside HJ Lyons, Linesight and SLA Planning Consultants. Bannon applied our Catchment, Customer, Competition, Experience (CCCE) approach to establish a target occupier mix. This approach was adopted to meet the daily and weekly convenience shopping and social needs of the current and future catchment, with a viable timeline for development across the entire Strategic Development Zone. Through an off-market letting process, the Consultancy team secured Tesco (3,672 sq. m. / 39,525 sq. ft.) and the Retail team secured Aldi (1,923 sq. m. / 20,699 sq. ft.) as scheme anchors.
Bannon’s Consultancy role from concept stage resulted in the seamless design of the commercial and residential elements. The Crossings @ Adamstown will operate in harmony to maximise efficiencies of design and construction. This creates a highly desirable community environment within the Adamstown.
