Case Study
Waterford Retail Park
Snap Fitness
Our client informed us of their intention to lease a unit within Waterford Retail Park to Snap Fitness, a 24/7 gym facility. This decision raised concerns regarding the security schedule of the park, as traditionally, the gates were locked from 11.30 pm to 5.30 am to ensure the safety of park occupiers.
The main challenge was to facilitate uninterrupted access to Snap Fitness while maintaining the overall security of the park during the night-time hours. We needed to devise a solution that balanced the security requirements of the park, and the accessibility needs of the gym’s members.
Bannon Property Management team devised a solution by implementing automatic barriers that would control access to the gym exclusively during the night-time hours. Our approach involved engaging a contractor from our pre-verified list of reputable contractors to carry out the installation.
Our team oversaw the entire process, from contractor selection to project completion. The automatic barriers were strategically placed to restrict access to the park while allowing continued access for the gym’s members, ensuring the safety and security of park occupants. Simultaneously, we introduced an additional security patrol of the park during night-time hours, which was integrated into the security budget, and we ensured that the cost of this would be re-billed to the tenant as was agreed with the client.
The implementation of automatic barriers and the introduction of additional security measures have effectively resolved the security dilemma posed by Snap Fitness’s 24/7 operation. Our expertise in property management and our commitment to finding practical solutions enabled us to meet the client’s requirements while maintaining the overall security of the park and accommodating the operational hours of the occupier.
