Quayside Shopping Centre is a 12,664 sq.m mixed-use scheme situated on Wine Street, County Sligo. Built on 4 levels, the Quayside Shopping Centre consists of 24 retail shopping units, 13 of which are on a plaza streetscape, with an additional seven units and a department store located in the main shopping mall area, there are two more retail shopping units on Lower Quay Street This scheme is anchored by TK Maxx & Next also providing multi-storey car parking, providing spaces for 420 cars, effectively doubling the number of car parking spaces in the town centre.
Bannon were provided the opportunity to lease Quayside when Davy purchased the majority of Quayside Shopping Centre in 2016.
By collaborating closely with our clients, we created a mix that aligned with the catchment area and its profile, optimizing the trading opportunities the centre provided. In partnership with the owners, we also devised a leasing strategy to reduce vacancy by focusing on delivering complementary brands to the existing retailers of the scheme.
Quayside is one of the central hubs of Sligo Town. This is due to Bannon’s work on improving the retail mix and building a retail destination that is suited to the people of Sligo and surrounding areas. Bannon have completed many key lettings such as Regatta, Insomnia and Specsavers upsize. Since taking over the as letting agents, Bannon have also regeared many retailers’ leases such as Dealz, River Island and Lifestyle Sports, as it was seen as a priority to retain these large MSU retailers.
