Case Study
Moorefield Road Retail Park
Onboarding of New Instruction and Procurement of Capital Works
Bannon have been appointed as property managers by the owners of Moorefield Road Retail Park, County Kildare. This strategically located site rests on Newbridge Town’s primary thoroughfare and is a brief five-minute drive from the M7 motorway. The park contains a Woodies, Tesco, Post Office, and Costa Coffee along with two large car parks. In early 2023, following the acquisition of the retail park, the owners expressed concern about the condition of the customer-facing infrastructure, encompassing the entrance road and its surrounding environment. Bannon were subsequently tasked with preparing a proposal for upgrade works to the façade of the retail park.
Following internal discussion, the management team, in collaboration with the asset manager, reached a consensus to engage the services of Studio3 architects to design a comprehensive plan for a substantial enhancement in the areas of concern. The nature of the site slightly restricts pedestrian movement between the two car parks, and this is something that will be addressed once the works are completed.
This project will require the coordination of a wider multi-disciplinary team of industry professionals as well as careful organisation of in order to minimise disruption to the occupiers and customers and ensure that the project is completed to the highest standards.
Bannon are currently awaiting architectural drawings of the proposed upgrade works and we will actively manage the project until completion. Once finalised, we hope to have the project complete by early 2024.
