Lusk Village Quarter is a new residential hub in the town of Lusk, north Dublin. As part of their commitment to creating a modern and vibrant neighbourhood scheme, Bannon client McGarrell Reilly, sought to provide a mix of retail, social and amenity space for the residents of Lusk Village Quarter and the wider Lusk area. To help them achieve this, Bannon was tasked with securing the most suitable Tenant mix for phase 1 of the retail element of the development.
The Bannon teams worked closely with McGarrell Reilly from the early stages of the project and gained a strong understanding of both the existing demographic of Lusk and potential demographic shifts which may occur through new housing development. Bannon applied a multi-disciplinary team approach to analyse the retailer use types, unit sizes and unit layouts which would best serve the wider Lusk Village Quarter development and its residents. Once the unit fundamentals had been determined, the team developed a marketing strategy to directly target the retailers we felt would be most suitable for each unit. Phase one now includes a large format supermarket anchor and 6 ancillary retailers across two commercial blocks.
Bannon secured a deal with Lidl to become the supermarket anchor of the development, which provided a strong platform from which to approach suitable retailers and service providers to occupy the remaining space. Phase one of Lusk Village Quarter now features a neighbourhood café & eatery, a high-end European convenience store, an established barber shop and established pharmacy operator with more exciting additions to the Tenant line-up expected in early 2024.
